Offered as a modular system, the REFRA-Training National provides theoretical and practical knowledge about the selection, application, and correct installation of high-grade refractory materials in cement plant equipment.

Our practical training is conducted under the motto "learning by doing".
Practical exercises are carried out in the afternoon. For this purpose, a rotary kiln shell is available at our Göttingen site, as well as our REFRA "Training on-site container", in which the use of the REFRA-Rig II, and a gunning machine are demonstrated, plus a satellite cooler tube for demonstration and correct installation of a refractory brick lining.

For instance, how to prepare and apply unshaped refractories by casting is practised using suitable mixers and vibrators. The application of refractory concretes by means of gunning, and selection of the corresponding gunning machines is demonstrated, and the different types of available gunning nozzles are explained in detail.
